It’s Mental Epilepsy To Attribute Every Situation To Divine Intervention

While the presence of the divine remains a part of our lives, its influence on our individual experiences is often minimal. Repeatedly, I’ve observed many who attribute their setbacks and near misses to a lack of divine favour and disapproval.

Religion, both imported and local, frequently offers an escape from responsibility by encouraging the belief that events are orchestrated by a higher power, thus discouraging questions or critical thinking. This is not entirely true.

Though we exist within a spiritual framework, many of our struggles and near successes stem from a lack of adequate preparation; results of our actions and inaction. Attributing every situation to divine intervention is a sign of mental epilepsy, irrational thinking and a refusal to accept personal accountability.

While our inherent nature plays a role in shaping our lives, the ultimate outcome is largely determined by the choices we make and the actions we take (or fail to take).
