JISYM Holds Inaugural Meeting

It turned out to be a hugely successful meeting as youths and young adults gathered earlier today Saturday 10th November, 2018, for the inaugural meeting of Jide Sanwo-Olu Youth Movement, JISYM, at the Campaign Secretariat, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
The meeting which had in attendance youths from across the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State, was centered on the way forward for the movement as the JISYM road map was unveiled and their plans, ideals and projections were deeply discussed.
The group’s main focus is to deliver at least 500,000 youth voters to the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Elections into positions of the State Exco was conducted; Mr. Owolabi Falana, a renowned economist and public affairs analyst from Mushin Local Government was elected as the State Coordinator, other positions were zoned to the three senatorial districts, PRO, Organizing Secretary, Ex officio to the West.

The Positions of Secretary, Director of Mobilization and Female Leader to Lagos Central while the Financial Secretary, Treasurer and Deputy Coordinator offices were zoned to the East.
The group unanimously agreed to support the newly elected State Executives to achieve great things and move JISYM forward in order to realize their goal of helping the All Progressives Congress to succeed in the task of making Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu become the Executive Governor of Lagos State come May 29, 2019.
Local Government coordinators and their secretaries were also announced to the highly excited members who came out en mass to attend the meeting.
The special guest of honour, Ambassador Iyabo Ipaye, in her motherly role and position as Special Adviser to the youths had words of advice. She urged JISYM members to be committed and disciplined while promising to support the movement.
