Katsina Is Ready For NFF Elections – Governor’s Aide

Aminu Kurfi Balele, Senior Special Adviser on Sports to the Governor of Katsina state, His Excellency, Aminu Bello Maisari has said that the state is ready to host the Nigeria Football Federation elective congress this Thursday.
Balele said that everything has been put in place to host a hitch free NFF elections, as the state looks ahead to welcome all the congress men and football stakeholders in Nigeria and the representatives of WAFU, CAF and FIFA at the ancient city of Katsina.
“We are ready, fully ready to host the NFF elections. His Excellency ,Alhaji Aminu Bello Maisari is happy to host this event and the people of Katsina that are passionate about football welcomes all the NFF delegates, football stakeholders and the international observers from WAFU, CAF and FIFA to the state, ” Balele said.
He added: ” We want to assure everyone that adequate security has been provided for hitch free exercise and we are very hopeful that everyone will leave Katsina with beautiful memories at the end of the day”
Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the incumbent is slugging it out with former President of NFF, Aminu Maigari and former General secretary of the Federation, Taiwo Ogunjobi, who is the chairman of Osun State Football Association.
Another keen contest to look forward at the NFF elections is the position of Chairman of chairmen where the current chairman, Ibrahim Gusau wants to keep his office against a formidable foe, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, the chairman of Anambra State Football Association.
