Lady, 40, Docked For Allegedly Smashing Man’s Face With Bottle During Public Brawl

A man, Olatunbosun Oniyede, had a nasty experience in Lagos State during the quarrel with a 40-year old lady, Abosede Akande, over an undisclosed matter as he received serious surprise in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the lady,  Abosede Akande, became angry and used a broken bottle to inflict injury on the face of Oniyede and he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The incident happened on 17th day November, 2025 at about 1400hrs, at No. 5, Ayo Alabi Stret, Oke-Ira, Ogba, Lagos.
The cause of the fight between the duo was not disclosed by the Police. But it was alleged that the suspect inflicted injuries on the left side of the victim’s face and head with a broken bottle during the fight.
The matter was reported to the Police at Area G Command Headquarters in Ogba, Lagos and the suspect was arrested and detained at the Command for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the complainant.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, ABOSEDE AKANDE ‘f on 17th day November, 2025 at about 1400hrs, at No. 5, Ayo Alabi Stret, Oke-Ira, Ogba Lagos State, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did unlawfully assault one Olatunbosun Oniyede ‘m’ by inflicting injuries on the left side of his face and head with a broken bottle and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 245 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
