Lady Battered While Attempting To Protect Aged Mother

A nursing mother, Mrs.Titilope Olalekan who visited his aged mother in Lagos has been hospitalised after she was attacked and injured by her mother’s neighbour, Mrs. Elizabeth Sanyaolu.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ogumbabi Street, off Liasu Road in Idimu area of Lagos.
The victim, Mrs.Titilope Olalekan suffered her fate when she visited her mother having put to bed to show her the baby. When she got to the house, she met Mrs. Sanyaolu raining insults on her mother and even in her presence.
It was gathered that the victim confronted the suspect to stop her from further insulting her mother in her presence. In response, Sanyaolu reportedly gave her a surprise attack, rained blows on her and injured her left eye. She was taken to a hospital where she was being treated because of the injury she sustained.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun Division and Sanyaolu was arrested. She was later charged before the Magistrate court sitting in Ejigbo for assault.
She pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor did not object to her bail.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 23 April, 2018.
