Lady Docked For Stealing Clothes At A Boutique In Lagos

A 29-year old woman, Stella Kamalu has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly breaking into a popular boutique and stole some items worth N5m belonging to one Kingsley Oguine in Okota, Lagos.

The incident happened at Ago Palace Way in Okota where the store is located. Some of the items the suspect reportedly stole were clothes, shoes, belts among other valuables.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect and others at large broke into the store and stole those items worth N5m and escaped. How they managed to break into the stole to steal those items was still a surprise to residents, because there were security men on duty on the day the incident happened.

However, she was arrested after the matter was reported to the police at X- Squad, Ikeja who went into investigation and arrested Kamalu. It was also gathered that some of the items were recovered from her as exhibits after her arrest.

She was charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy, burglary and stealing under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrates, Mrs A.O. Layinka granted her bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Kamalu was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 26th of September, 2017.
