A lady, one Adewusi Folake, has been arrested for hiring some Nigerian Navy officers to settle score with a man, John Ojioma, who reportedly betrayed her in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ojo Street by Asalu Bus Stop in Abaranje area of Ikotun, Lagos, where Ojioma resides.

The identities of the officers were not yet known because Folake had refused to bring them or inform the police from which barracks she had hired them.

It was gathered that John had a disagreement with Folake, she went to the military barracks and brought the officers for revenge. The officers invaded John’s apartment, destroyed some properties, brought him outside the compound and assaulted him to the satisfaction of Folake. He victim was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he was treated and brought back home.
The matter was reported to the Ikotun Police Division and Folake was arrested. She was later charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates court for assault on John Ojioma.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G. Simon, asked the court that since Folake had pleaded not guilty, the court should give a short date for trial for prosecutor to prove the charge against her with evidence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrates, Mr. L.K J. Layeni, granted Folake bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 7th November, 2018.

When our correspondent contacted Folake and Ojioma, they declined to speak because the police did not state what actually caused the rift between them. However, one of their neighbours said that they were the only ones that could say what went wrong as the police alleged that Folake brought the officers into a matter which was purely civil in nature.
