A 50-year old single lady, one Harite Igwe, has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly seizing the documents of her lover, Mr. Muoluchi Chikwado’s land valued at N20m after she failed to trap him for marriage.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Jesus Avenue in Ijagemo area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Mr. Chikwado lost his wife and Harite started dating him with the hope that he will consummate the relationship with marriage.
However, the man had another plan; was said to have made arrangement to marry another lady and moved to Onilewura Street off Liasu Road in Egbe area of Lagos for marriage. That did not go down well with Harite who reportedly stole the documents and hid them in an unknown place.

The incident was reported to the police at Isheri Oshun Division; Harite was arrested, asked to release the documents but she refused.

The police then charged her before the Ejigbo Magistrates court for stealing.
She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor., Mr G Simon, did not oppose her being granted bail but asked the court for date for the hearing of the matter.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 14th November, 2018.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Harite was angry having waited for Chikwado since 2013 for almost five years to consummate the relationship but at the end he dumped her. That might have informed her decision to seize the documents though she denied doing so at both the police station and in the court.
