Lagos Assembly Hosts Conference Of State Assemblies’ Speakers

Speakers of the 36 State Houses of Assembly will converge in Lagos between Friday 3 August and Sunday 5 August to deliberate on national issues especially those that have to do with the Legislative arm of Government.

The meeting, according to a release signed by Hon. (Princess) Adefunmilayo Tejuoso, Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security; is a three day event which will take place at the Radison Blu Hotel, Isaac John Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

According to Tejuoso, apart from their deliberation anchored on presentation of papers, the visiting Speakers, who will be hosted by the host Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, will attend a dinner on Friday organised by the host Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

The event proper takes place on Saturday where papers will be presented.

In between presentation of papers on Saturday, the Speakers will visit the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Rilwan Osuolale Akiolu.

The Speakers will later present their resolutions through a communique after the meeting.
