Lagos Assembly Scrutinizes ENL-NOVA Land Issue, Eulogises Asiwaju Tinubu & Hon. Kasunmu

The Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday beamed its legislative searchlight on the alleged Private Sector Participant (PSP) deal on Land Administration between one ENL-NOVA LTD and  Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The story of the transaction, which was believed to be opaque, went viral on social media platforms few days ago.

The motion on the matter was brought before the House by the Chairman, House Committee on Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Nureni Akinsanya.

In his capacity as the Chairman House Committee on Lands, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), made insightful contribution to the motion and his input formed part of the resolution of the House to summon the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development and ENL-LOVA LTD to appear before the Lawmakers at the next sitting to shed more light on the alleged deal.

During Plenary also, the House of Assembly took time out to celebrate President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Hon. Kasunmu, who marked their birthdays on 29th March, 2023.

The House commended Hon. Kasunmu’s vibrant contributions to various issues on the floor of the house, describing him as a highly cerebral Legislator and a pride to the youth.

While extolling his consistency, articulation and legislative prowess, the Lawmakers prayed to God to grant him long life, sound health and greater heights in life.

The Legislators also paid special tributes to the President Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who they described as the pathfinder and father of modern day democracy in Nigeria. They prayed for a successful inauguration ceremony on the 29th May and a peaceful,  prosperous and progressive Nigeria under his Presidency.

Some of the Lawmakers, who spoke included Hon. Temitope Adewale, Hon. Rotimi Olowo, Hon. Noheem Adams, Hon. Desmond Elliott, Hon. Saka Solaja, Hon. Femi Saheed,  Hon. Sangodara and the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun, who presided over the Plenary in lieu of Mr. Speaker, who was unavoidably absent.

Other Lawmakers, whose birthday came up in March, were also celebrated.
