Lagos State Govt Assures MOCOPED Of Continuous Support

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has assured the Management and Staff of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija, Epe ,of continuous support in strengthening the capacity of the College to improve on its current level of achievement.

Sanwo-Olu, who gave the assurance at the fourth Convocation Ceremony of the Institution, said his administration is committed to enhancing the status and prestige of the teaching profession through adequate reward for their efforts and recognition of exceptional performance.

The Governor, represented by the newly appointed Special Adviser on Education, Barrister Tokunbo Wahab, acknowledged the vision of the founding father of the Institution, Late Pa Michael Otedola and urged the students to see their certificates as a symbol of communal trust in them to inspire the next generation of leaders in the State and Nigeria in general.

He challenged the 6th Governing Council, Provost, management and students to put in more efforts at making sure that their current status is maintained in order to attract more students to the institution.

In his remarks, the Provost of the College, Associate Professor Nosiru Onibon, sought for the support of the State government for a successful transmutation into a full-fledged open and distance learning university in order for the College to fully develop into a University of Education.
