Lagos Channel Management Donates Sports Facility To  King Ado Schools, Dedicates It To Late Oba Oyekan

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the society, Lagos Channel Management Limited (LCM) has donated a multi purpose sports facility with equipment to King Ado Junior and Senior Secondary Schools situated at Jankara area of Isale Eko on Lagos Island.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the standard sports facility was built from the scratch by the LCM and was aimed at promoting and encouraging sports activities among the students. It was dedicated in honour of the late Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Adeyinka Oyekan.
The schools environment was a beehive of activities on the day of the commissioning of the sports facility which was built for sports such as basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis, tennis and 5-A-side football.

The commissioning was performed by the leadership of Lagos Island Local Government headed by Hon. Adetoyosi Olusi who was represented by the Council Leader, Hon. Akeem Olanrewaju Ajose.
Hon. Ajose applauded the management of the LCM for its kind gesture to the development of sports in King Ado Schools. He said now that a standard sports facility has been made available, he believed the coast has been cleared for discovering and grooming of future stars on Lagos Island, even as he called on other corporate organisations in Lagos to take a cue from what the LCM has done.
The Principal of the schools, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye while showing appreciation to the LCM, said his school was being blessed as the only school first recognised on Lagos Island for the honour to have a standard sports facility being built by a private company. He promised that the school authority will maintain the facility very well.
Prince Ifalade Oyekan, a senior management staff of the LCM, who is also the facilitator of the project, said that the LCM has been living up to expectations in its CRS activities to the community it operates, adding that the governments at various levels cannot bear the burdens of providing amenities for the people alone. 
“There must be genuine supports from the private sector and spirited individuals and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the society,” said Prince Oyekan.
He revealed that the LCM has donated 100 chairs and tables to Onitinrin Community High School at Gaskiya area and built rest rooms for another school in Ebute Metta area of Lagos amongst other projects the company has done for various communities in Lagos.
Students of King Ado Junior and Senior Secondary Schools described the donation of the sports facility as timely. They were so happy. They promised to use the facility judiciously.
