Lagos COS, Tayo Ayinde Visits Badagry, Inspects Abandoned Projects

The honourable Special Adviser to the Governor on Art & Culture, Mr. Bonu Solomon, and a team of political office holders received the presence of the active Chief of Staff (COS) Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde in Badagry.

The visit, which was facilitated by the Honourable Special Adviser, Mr. Bonu S.S, an indigene of Badagry, was primarily to inspect state projects in the area.

The first point of inspection was the recently demolished Lagos State Government VIP Charlet, Badagry, by the immediate past government aimed at constructing a new Five Star Hotel. Efforts were made to check the perimeter fence, new chalet model, generator plant house etc. Mrs. Bisi Onala took time to give some explicit report on the managerial functioning of the Chalet prior to total demolition of the existing with better futuristic approach.

Next was the Badagry General Hospital, which before now, had been visited by the Hon. Commissioner for Health. Led by a team of medical doctors, the Chief of Staff was taken round to see for himself On-The-Spot assessment.

The COS also was at the newly built Theatre and promised to put the place in proper shape before December for public viewing of Cinemas and other fun activities during the festive period.

The Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo, further visited the ongoing road construction at Samuel Ekundayo Road, along Ansar-udeen Secondary School and the Proposed Site for the New Oba Akran Palace at Oko-Alubosa in Badagry town.

Lastly, the team was at the Badagry Marina Water Ways and jetty areas.

The COS said that Governor Sanwo-Olu is keen about the development of Badagry and areas visited have been taken note of.

“We will go back and do our work; we will further brief His Excellency and now know where to take off” he assured.

The Special Adviser on Works, Engr. Aramide Adeyoye, also affirmed that appropriate action will be taken from the Ministry for gradual execution.

On the inspection team with the Chief of Staff were Engr. Aramide Adeyoye, Engr. Hotonu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Mr. Seyi Whenu, Permanent Secretary Office of the Chief Of Staff, Mr. Babatunde Whenu, Office of Finance.

On the Badagry team were the Executive Chairman, Badagry Central, Hon. Onilude Segun and related council excos, Mrs. Bisi Onala, Mr. Hundeyin Hunwaji, Hon. Zosu Solomon, SSA information & Tourism, Badagry West etc.
