Lagos Dep Governor, Falcons Coach For Ekofootball Women Championship Seminar
Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule is one of the important dignitaries who will grace the seminar organised to herald Season 2 of Ekofootball Women Championship tagged “Lagos For Her”.
The seminar holding next week Wednesday at the Molade Okoya Indoor Sports Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos, will see Ms Nkechi Obi , CEO, Nigeria Women League Board, Dr Oluyomi Oluwasanmi of the Lagos State Sports Commission, LSSC and Ann Chiejine, Super Falcons Assistant Coach make presentations for the over 1000 participating female students.
The seminar with the topic, Cultivating Confidence, Self Respect and Assertiveness will start at 11am prompt with the first paper to be presented by Ann Chiejine, followed by that of Ms Nkechi Obi.
Speaking ahead of the seminar, Chairman, Lagos State Football Association, Seyi Akinwunmi informed that the seminar which is preceding the Ekofootball Women Championship became necessary as the theme of the seminar indicates, adding that it is important to create a pool of not only talented footballers, but also well-educated and confident young ladies.
Akinwunmi who also doubles as the 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, said that apart from the speakers, the seminar will be graced by many top career women to be led by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule.
He noted that about 1200 students are expected to attend the seminar including the players that will compete in the championship.
