Members of the Lagos East Senatorial District caucus in the House of Representatives have pledged their support and loyalty to Hon. Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo in his desire to represent the senatorial district in the Upper Legislative Chamber next year.
The lawmakers, representing the five federal constituencies of the senatorial district met with Osinowo popularly called Pepperito on Monday, 3 September in his office in Lagos.
The lawmakers described Osinowo has a unifying figure in the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress  (APC) whose commitment to party ideals is not in doubt.
“Hon Osinowo is a loyal party man to the core. He is humane, humble and kind-hearted. I made bold to say that Hon. Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, the one we all call Pepperito is a symbol of what APC stands for. He is most qualified to represent us in the Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly,” Hon Wale Raji, member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said.
His comments were supported and corroborated by Hon Wole Diya of Somolu Federal Constituency who said, “Osinowo is a man of honour, a man you can repose your total trust in. He is highly qualified to represent Lagos East Senatorial District in the Senate”.
The other Reps members in the team that met with Osinowo were: Hon Babajimi Benson, Ikorodu Federal Constituency; Hon Rotimi Agunsoye, Kosofe Federal Constituency and Hon Ayeola Abayomi, Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency.
In his response, Osinowo expressed to the lawmakers for the honour and confidence bestowed on him.
He stated that the decision for him to contest was not a unilateral one. “It was the unanimous decision of the APC leaders in the Lagos East Senatorial District and I see it as a call to serve my people in a higher legislative capacity,” he said.
