Lagos Task Force Gets New Sets Of Kits, Recovers Stolen Goats

Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Task Force) yesterday recovered four suspected stolen goats inside a vehicle abandoned by the occupants for contravening Lagos traffic law at the Ikorodu area.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Head of Public Affairs Unit, Lagos Task Force, Mr. Adebayo Taofiq.He said that the Enforcement Team led by DSP Anthony Abutu recovered the goats while on security monitoring operation in the Ikorodu axis. They reportedly intercepted a Blue Toyota Camry with registration number AAA 743 EZ while driving on the BRT corridor. He added that the driver and his colleague immediately abandoned the vehicle on the road and ran away.
Mr. Taofiq said that the action of the two men raised suspicion among the Task Force team which led to a thorough search of the vehicle. Eventually, four goats, with their mouths covered and food items were recovered from the booth of the car indicating that the goats and other items in the car may have been stolen.
“In this regard, the Agency has called on members of the public, particularly those residing around Ikorodu axis, whose goats were missing or suspected stolen, to report to the Agency at Bolade, Oshodi for collection of the recovered loot.” he said.He also revealed that the Lagos State Government has distributed new sets of kits to all the officers of the Nigeria Police attached to the Agency in a bid to boost the morale and commitment of the officers. The new kits distributed included new sets of uniforms (Camouflage and black), berets, shoulder badges and crests.
