In what could be tagged a strategic engagement, the foremost Senatorial candidate in Lagos West, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule, today met with volunteers of Adebule Youth Ambassadors (AYA).

The APC candidate gave further insight into her proposed legislative agenda.

The meeting, which was held at her campaign office in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, was attended by over one thousand members of the support group all drawn from the 28 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos West.

In her address, the former Lagos Deputy Governor commended the ambassadors for their unflinching support and commitment to her aspiration and anticipated success at the polls.

She assured the teeming youth that she will use the instrumentality of the legislature to raise the bar of representation when she emerges.

Adebule added that she will sponsor and promote beneficial and impactful policies for the common good of all. She went on to urge the ambassadors to sustain their activities online and offline and also urged them to maintain the high level of discipline and civility at which they have been carrying out campaign activities.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, who surprisingly graced the event, commended the ambassadors for their selflessness.

Ogunlende charged them to take the party’s message further to the grassroots and galvanize more support for all the candidates.

In the same vein, the Director General of the Adebule Campaign Team, Hon. Rasaq Ajala, charged the youth with a continued commitment to the cause.

He encouraged them to use their numerical strength to command victory for Adebule as well as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and other candidates of the party.

Another major highlight of the carnival-like event was when the group handed over a unique flag to Dr. Idiat Adebule to further demonstrate their endorsement of her aspiration. All ambassadors also confidently and boastfully displayed their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), showing their readiness to cast their votes in the elections.

Also worthy of mention was also the presentation of appointment letters to the arrowheads of the support group in the 28 LGAs and LCDAs by the incoming senator.

One of the conveners, Comrade Ademosu, Jamiu explained that Adebule’s impressive track record as a core progressive won the youth to her side noting that the group will explore every means to garner support and see to her victory come 2023.

Also in attendance at the colourful event were the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Youth, Hon. Saheed Akanbi Ade; Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Ramotalai Akinlola Hassan; her counterpart from Ojo LGA Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu; Directors and members of Adebule Campaign Council, Adebule Babes as well as coordinators from the 28 LGAs and LCDAs across Lagos West among others.
