A 26-year old man, Henry Chinedu who made love passes to a 40-year old single lady,  Blessing Ben has landed in trouble after she attacked him for doing so.

In retaliation, Chinedu broke a bottle and stabbed Blessing on her cheek, inflicted serious injury on her and she was hospitalised.

The incident happened at Lawal Street off Governor’s Road in Ikotun area of Lagos where Miss Ben has a beer joint.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that trouble started when Chinedu went to Blessing’s joint to drink and made advances. It was learnt that Blessing became angry for such coming from Chinedu who was far younger than her and she felt she could be of his mother’s age.

According to Chinedu, she reportedly slapped him several times and when he could not bear it any longer, he defended himself, used the bottle and stabbed her.

The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun Division who went to the joint and arrested Chinedu.

He was subsequently charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for the alleged offence.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Chinedu was charged to court despite the fact that he sustained injury due to assault on him by Blessing. But
the police found Chinedu culpable because he started the matter by attempting to woo Blessing who was far older than him.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J Layeni granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect the bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 15 January, 2018.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered from Chinedu that he knew that she was single and was only joking with her but she got enraged and attacked him first.
