Mala Buni, Uzodinma Commission MCC-Relief Market-Egbu Road

It was a sense of joy and accomplishment not just to Gov. Hope Uzodinma but the entire Imolites as the popular MCC-Relief Market-Egbu Road was commissioned yesterday by the Governor of Yobe State and Chairman APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni in company of Gov. Hope Uzodinma and other dignitaries.

While commissioning the road, Gov. Buni extolled the leadership style of Gov. Hope Uzodinma as a leader who is very much interested in setting the pace and has demonstrated that governance is a serious business which requires leaders to know what their people wants and provides it which Gov. Hope Uzodinma has done by constructing the MCC-Relief Market-Egbu Road.

The MCC-Relief Market-Egbu road is one of the ugly and deplorable roads Gov. Hope Uzodinma met on ground on assumption of office as the Governor in January. This road has been calling for government attention during the past administrations and usually gets a “Patch-Patch” attention which further degenerate each time we enter the rainy season but has been put to an end by the shared prosperity government.

This link road has before now helped to decongest the owerri city as it helps people from MCC, Ikenegbu and it axis to locate the market and make an onward movement towards the Egbu-Umuahia Road but since it drifted into a death trap, it has stalled both human and vehicular movements as well as slowed the pace of business and trading in the Relief market and each day traders are counting their losses.

Gov. Hope Uzodinma has again proven that governance is all about the audacity to change lives and rewrite history and this he has proven by the commissioning of this popular road. It is noteworthy to posit that this road was constructed by the very best construction company and materials used are of great quality which will make the road durable and stand the test of time.

The Governor has demonstrated his love for the people and a clear fulfillment of his reconstruction mantra embedded in the 3R mantra initiative. Gov. Hope Uzodinma has written his name on gold and posterity will ever be grateful to him for his giant strides in the state.
