Man, 20, Arraigned For Allegedly Penetrating Anus Of Girl,16, For Sexual Satisfaction

A 20-year old man, Joshua Solomon, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly defiling a 16-year old girl by penetrating her private parts including her anus in order to satisfy his sexual desires. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 3rd September, 2025, at Olushola Abiona Street, Olorunda Estate, Alapere area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim into an apartment and engaged her in sex, which did not satisfy him, he then turned her back and penetrated her anus forcefully in order to satisfy himself.
In the process, he injured the victim’s anus as she was said to have bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital which eventually exposed the whole thing.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation at the Gender Section, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Joshua Solomon ‘m’, on the 3rd day of September, 2025, al No. 3, Olushola Abiona Street, Olorunda Estate, Alapere Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile one girl, ‘f 16years, by having unlawful canal knowledge of her and hereby committed.an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Joshua Solomon ‘m’, on the 3rd day of eptember, 2025, at No. 3, Olushola Abiona Street, Olorunda Estate, Japere – Ketu, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assault and penetrate the anus of one girl, f 16years and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 261 of me Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the seriousness of the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
