Man, 23, Tricks Girl, 14, Into Sex After Fondling Her Breasts

A 23-year old man, Emmanuel Eyo, has landed in trouble after he allegedly tricked a 14-year old girl into sex romp by fondling her breasts, getting her confused and penetrating her in the process.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oyenuga Street, Ijeshatedo area of Lagos, where they reside.

The suspect, Eyo, allegedly lured the victim into his apartment, confused her with words of mouth before he touched her breasts and she got more confused. He then removed her pant and penetrated her.
The victim was said to have realised herself later after the romp and claimed that she was raped because she never consented to the act.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and Eyo was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for further investigation on the matter.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found Eyo culpable because of the age of the victim as she is still regarded as a minor which is statutory rape.

He was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence but the Court did not take his plea.
The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because the victim was still a minor.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O Sule-Amzat, ordered Eyo to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail. The Court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 23rd April, 2020, for the report of the DPP to be available.
The defendant may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial for defilement.
