Man, 25, Docked For Sneaking Into Woman’s Apartment & Carting Away N19m Property

A 25-year old man, Oludiran Michael, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly sneaking into the house of one Mrs. Oyewole Oluranti and carting away property worth N19m. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened sometime in April, 2025 at Oladimeji Johnson Crescent in Aboru, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos.

 

According to the Police, the suspect went to the house, stole the items when the complainant was not around and went away.

 

However, the complainant later discovered that the items were missing and reported to the Police at Oke-Odo Division. The Police operatives moved into action, eventually arrested and detained him at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

 

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

COUNT I: “That you, Oludiran Michael ‘M’ sometime in April, 2025, at No 30, Oladimeji Johnson Crescent, Aboru, Alimosho in the Lagos Magisterial District, did dishonesty enter into the house of one Mrs. Oyewole Oluranti ‘F’ with intent to steal and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 308 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT II:”That you, Oludiran Michael ‘M’ on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid magisterial district, did steal one Samsung phone, one Blackberry Phone Power Bank, Charger, Perfumes, Radio, a set of gold, water equipments, shoes and caps total valued (N19,900,000.00) Nineteen Million, Nine Hundred Naira only, properties of one Mrs. Oyewale Oluranti ‘F’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 (1)(a) & (b) and punishable under Section 287 (5)(a), (f) and 7 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

The defendant pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
