A 25-year old man, Okoye Akachukwu, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly tempting his Madam, Mrs. Bunmi Obakoya, by begging her for sex despite the fact that he knew she was married with children.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Akachukwu has been arrested for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.
The incident happened at Berikisu Iyede in Onike area of Yaba, Lagos.
According to Police sources, the suspect, Akachukwu, was engaged as a worker by the complainant. He desired to sleep with the madam and was making attempts to seduce and lure her into sex. He was said to have been sending amorous,  indecent, seductive and romantic text messages while offering and begging her for sex.
When the complainant could not bear it any longer, he went to Sabo Police Division and reported the conduct. Akachukwu was then arrested and detained at the station for interrogation.
During interrogation, the complainant brought all the text messages he had been sending to her and even telling the complainant’s son that he had been sleeping with his mother.
He admitted to have sent those messages to her madam to try to convince her but did not tell the Police if he had succeeded or not before he was arrested.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged before the Yaba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Rita Momah, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Chief Adeola Olatunbosun, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
The matter was adjourned while the defendant was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
