Man, 28, Sent To Prison For Battering Biological Mother

A 28-year old man, Victor Chinadu has displayed his boxing prowess in Lagos State by punching and battering his biological aged mother, Abigail Samuel and injuring her in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Guinness Street, Agege area of Lagos, where they reside.
Apart from raining fist blows and knocking her down, he used a stick to  flogged her mercilessly and damaged her properties before she was eventually rescued by their neighbours.
The Police did not disclose the cause of the quarrel between Chinedu and his mother. But according to the Police sources, he had a disagreement with his mother and in the process he grabbed the mother, inflicted injury on her with fist blows and further assaulted her, which caused her bodily harm.
The matter was reported to the Police and he was arrested. Having been found culpable after thorough interrogation, he was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged assault, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor,  Supol Bisi Ogunleye, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty before the Court to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The matter was adjourned till 28th July, 2023, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
