Man, 33, Docked For Hacking Into Lady’s Account & Siphoning N560,000 Within Minutes

Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have arrested a 33-year old professional hacker, Quadri Afeez, for allegedly hacking into a lady’s account and siphoning the sum of N560,000 within minutes. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Otto Railway line, Oyingbo area of Lagos.
He was said to have accosted the victim, Zainab Abiola, in the guise of performing a genuine transaction before he hacked into her Money Point account and transferred the money.
The matter was reported to the Police at Iponri Division and the suspect, Afeez, was tracked, eventually arrested and detained at the station for interrogation.
During interrogation, the suspect declined to reveal to the Police how he hacked into the victim’s account but admitted to have transferred her money to two accounts belonging to Abubakar Musa and Adedeji Alexander now at large.
The Police found him culpable and consequently charged before the Ebute Metta Magistrate Court for stealing, which attracts several years of imprisonment if found guilty.
However, he pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Adedayo Kafayat Tella, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional centre pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
