Man, 34, Arrested for Defiling Teenager Inside Market

The Police in Lagos have arrested a 34-year old man, Taiwo Sheuases, for defilement by engaging a 15-year old girl in sex romp inside a market.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Bariga Market, where Sheuases allegedly penetrated the victim and they were caught in the act.

The motive behind the dastardly act in the market was not disclosed by the Police and how both the victim and suspect gained entrance into the market in the evening when they traders had gone home.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, confirmed the incident and said that the suspect was in Police net over the act. DSP Elkana stated that on 27th August, 2019, at about 1920hours, Bariga Police Station received a complaint that one Taiwo Sheuases, 34, defiled a teenage girl of about 15 years old in Bariga Market square.
Hence, the Divisional Police Officer dispatched Police officers to the scene. The suspect was arrested by detectives from the Family Support Unit and detained at the station for investigation.

During interrogation, he confessed to the commission of the crime. The victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination. The Police spokesman said that the suspect will be charged to Court.

In a related development, a 28-year old, Fatai  Nafiu was arrested for forcefully engaging a 15-year old girl in sex in the same Bariga area of Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Elkana, stated that on 31st August, 2019, at about 2015hours, Bariga Police Station received a complaint that one Fatai Nafiu, 28, of No 9 Adetoke Street, Bariga forcefully had an unlawful sexual intercourse with a 15-year old girl (name withheld).
A team of detectives from the Family Support Unit arrested the suspect. He confessed to the commission of the crime. The Police spokesman said that the victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination and the suspect will be charged to Court as soon as investigations are concluded.
