The Nigerian Army Headquarters,19th Brigade Command in Ikeja, Lagos, has handed over a 36-year old man, Emmanuel Sanya, to the Police for allegedly sucking the breast of a top military officer’s daughter,13, inside barracks.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Mammy Market at Military Cantoment in Ikeja, where the suspect, Sanya, had a shop where he sells to officers families inside the cantoment.
It was gathered that the victim’s mother sent her to the shop to collect some money sent to the family for upkeep by their father, who was said to have traveled for official duty.
However, when she got to the shop, instead of giving her the money, the man allegedly opened, sucked her breasts and rubbed his dick on her private part in order to seduce her.
The victim was said to have resisted the attempts to lure her into sex and went back to inform her mother about what happened.
The matter was reported to the high authority in the Army, who apprehended the man involved and transferred him to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command for prosecution.
After exhaustive interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted him bail with sureties and adjourned the matter for mention while the Court ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
