A 43-year old man, Emmanuel Odega, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he allegedly sexually molested his 15-year old daughter and defiled her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the man has been arrested.

The incident happened at Osador Street, Charity Estate, Badore in Ajah area of Lagos, where they reside.

According to Police sources, the man engaged the victim in the act and warned her not to tell anybody what happened but she eventually revealed what happened to their neighbours and the matter was reported to the Police.

The man was then arrested and later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for investigation. After thorough interrogation, he was found culpable and then charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Victor Eruada, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered the man’s remand in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s report without an option of fine.

The Court then directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice and adjourned the matter till 9th September, 2021, for report of the DPP to be available.

The Police source said the matter may likely be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s report finds him culpable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence.
