Man, 43, Docked For Allegedly Beating Father Mercilessly During Public Brawl

A 43-year old man, Stanley Emeka, has displayed his boxing skills on his biological father, Nnandi Alaleme, as he inflicted injury on him with fist blows during a public brawl in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 31st August, 2025, at Sanya Street, Pleasure Bus/Stop, Oke-Odo area of Lagos, where they reside.
Apart from giving him fist blows, the suspect broke a bottle and threatened to kill him after he took away his laptop during the brawl before residents intervened and rescued his father.
The matter was reported to the Police at Oke-Odo Division. He was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
The Police found him culpable after interrogation and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, Stanley Emeka ‘M’ on the 31st day of August, 2025, at No 3 Sanya Street, Pleasure Bus/Stop, Oke-Odo, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did assault your father one Mr. Nnandi Alaleme ‘M’ by giving him a fist blows on the head and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under the criminal Law of Lagos state of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Stanley Emeka ‘M’ on the same date, time and place in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did break one Coca-Cola bottle and threatened to kill your father, one Nnandi Alaleme ‘M’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 56 (1) and punishable under Section 56 (2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
COUNT III:”That you, Stanley Emeka ‘M’ on the same date, time and place in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did steal one Dell laptop valued at Two Hundred and Fifty and Naira only (N250,000), property of one Nnandi Alaleme ‘M’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 (1) (a) & (b) and punishable under Section 5) (a) & (f) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Supol Philip Adegbumuji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
