Man, 44, Docked For Putting Finger In 9-Year Old Girl’s Private

A 44-year old man, Monday Whesu, has landed in big trouble after he was caught inserting his finger into the private part of a 9-year old girl in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ago Palace Way in Isolo, Lagos where he resides with the victim’s parents.

It was gathered that Whesu returned from work in the evening, lured the victim into his apartment and inserted his finger into her private part before he allowed her to go.
However, their neighbours noticed when the victim came out from his apartment and then informed her parents who confronted her and she revealed what happened.
The victim’s parents reported the matter to the police; Whesu was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Police Command, Lagos for investigation.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that during interrogation he admitted that he touched her private part but denied that he raped her as he did not penetrate her.
The police found culpable and charged him before the Ikeja Magistrates court for the alleged offence.
The prosecutor, Inspector Benson, informed the court that it was a case of sexual assault on the victim who was a minor and asked the court to use its discretion on the bail issue.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs O. Sule-Amzat ,granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum who must show evidence of tax payment.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 29th November, 2018.
