Man, 47, Sent To Prison For Touching Lady’s Buttocks At Hospital

A 47-year old man, Abiodun Owodunni, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly engaging and touching a 27-year old lady’s buttocks in a hospital.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect,  Owodunni, has been arrested and charged for sexually harassment.

 

The incident happened at Best Care Hospital in Lagos, where the suspect accosted the victim, Ogwe Glory Chidinma.

 

What transpired between the suspect and the lady at the hospital, which led his touching her buttocks was not disclosed by the Police who arrested him for the alleged conduct.

 

However, the Police alleged that he sexually harassed the victim by touching her buttocks and the lady reported the alleged assault to the Police at the Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command.

 

He was then arrested and detained for interrogation over his alleged conduct. He was found culpable after interrogation and consequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

 

Part of the charge read:

That you, Abiodun Owodunni, m, on the 13th July, 2024, at 1800hours, at Best Care Hospital in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually harass one Ogwe Glory Chidinma, f, age, 27 years old by touching the buttocks and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 201 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

However, he pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
