Man, 50, Docked For Defiling 2 Under Aged Sisters For 2 Years

A 50-year old man, Babatunde Kazeem, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly seducing and engaging two sisters, aged 13 and 8 in sex for the past two years before he was exposed.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Kazeem, has been arrested and charged for the alleged defilement under the Criminal Law of the State.
The incident happened between 2024 and February 2026, at No. 29, Hassan Street, Ikosi – Ketu, Lagos.
The matter was exposed after the victims revealed what had happened to them separately to her parents.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct against the victims.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Babatunde Kazeem ‘m’, since 2024 to February 2026, at No. 29, Hassan Street, Ikosi – Ketu, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim ‘f 13years old by having sexual intercourse with her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Babatunde Kazeem ‘m’, on the same date nd place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did defile the victim ‘f’ 8years old by having sexual intercourse with her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
