Man, 52, Arrested For Having Sex With Girl, 13, Inside Church

A 52-year old Church gardener, Afolabi Isiaka, has landed in trouble after he was caught having sex with a 13-year old girl inside a Church in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 5 Banire Street, Mushin area of Lagos, where the Church is located.

It was gathered that the suspect allegedly lured the victim into the Church, removed her pant and defiled her before allowing her to go. It was also scooped that it was not the first time the suspect, Isiaka, had reportedly molested the victim but warned her not to tell anyone about the dastardly act and she kept the abuse to herself.

However, the alleged rape got exposed after the victim reportedly confessed and the matter was reported to the Gender Section of Zone D Command, Mushin, Lagos. The Police then arrested Isiaka and detained him at the Command for interrogation.
What would have caused Isiaka to have committed such sacrilege inside the Church and how he convinced the victim was not clear as the Police declined to make comment.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that a non-governmental organisation known as Advocate for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network, ACVP, led by one Ebenezer Omejalile, reported that Isiaka had been molesting the victim until it was exposed.
The incident occurred on 24th October, 2019. The man in question is a gardner in the Church and resides there while the 13-year old girl lives opposite the Church and is also a member of the Church.

P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that on the faithful day, the girl’s mother sent her on an errand and she stayed longer than expected. Her mother was worried and went in search of her. Eventually, she showed up and after much pressure she confessed to the mother that Isiaka had been molesting her for some time and equally stated that it was the fourth time he had abused her.

When P.M.EXPRESS correspondent visited Zone D Command, Isiaka was still detained and going through interrogations over the act. He was said to have given the Police useful information that confirmed he was culpable.
Police source at the Command told our correspondent that the suspect will be charged to Court at the conclusion of investigation.
The source said that if Isiaka was eventually charged before Court for defilement, tried and gets convicted, he will spend several years in prison custody for the alleged offence.
