Man, 54, Arraigned For Disposing Human Faeces In Public Place

A 54-year-old man, Fagbamigbe Felix, has landed in trouble for allegedly disposing human faeces in the public before he was caught in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that he has been arrested and charged before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court over alleged unlawful disposal of human excreta under the Criminal Law of the State.
The incident happened on 23rd April, 2026 at Ado Ekiti, where he resides.
The Prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence by unlawfully and improperly depositing human excreta in an unauthorized place and thereby committed an offence, which contravened Section 6 of the Ekiti State Environmental Health and Sanitation Law, 2020 and attracts term of imprisonment.
However,  he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor asked the Court  for an adjournment to enable him study the case file and present his witnesses.
But his counsel, Mr. Idowu Ayenimo, urged the court to grant the defendant bail, undertaking that the defendant would not abscond.
The Presiding Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum with the address to be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 19th May, 2026, for hearing while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
