Man, 62, Arrested For Pecking Girl, 14, Inside School

A 62-year old man, Emmanuel Madueke, has landed in trouble after he reportedly pecked a 14-year old student inside the school premises in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Madueke, has been arrested.

The incident happened at Megland Comprehensive School, Jakande, Lekki area of Lagos, where the school is located.

The Police however, did not state if the suspect, Madueke, is one of the teachers in the school but found him culpable after the girl informed her parents that she was assaulted and her parents did not take it lightly as the matter was reported to the Police.

After his arrest, he was transferred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command for interrogation over the act.

Operatives at the Gender Section, having found him culpable after thorough interrogation, subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged assault.

When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty before the Court. 
The prosecutor, Inspector I. Lucky, then asked the Court to give a  date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. A. Layinka, granted him bail with conditions and adjourned the matter till 24th August, 2021, for mention while the defendant will be in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
