Man Arrested Over Anal Sex With Girl, 10

A man, one Edwin Osia, has been arrested for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by allegedly having anal sex with a 10-year old girl in Lagos.

The incident happened at Church Street in Katangowa area of Lagos where they reside.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Osia lured the victim into his apartment, forced her to remove her pant before forcefully penetrating her anus after rubbing some cream on his joystick.

Due to the forceful penetration, the victim was said to have suffered pains which made her cry aloud and attracted other neighbours’ attention. Osia was forced to open his door; the victim was eventually rescued and taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

The matter was reported to the Oke Odo Police Division; Osia was arrested and detained at the police station for interrogation.
During investigation, he claimed that he penetrated her anus because the 10-year old victim’s private part was small and as such he will not be able to penetrate her with his joystick.

He was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged defilement. The court ordered him to be remanded in prison custody after the prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emerhi, informed the Court that the victim was a minor and the matter needed the DPP’s advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till the report of the DPP is available in order to determine where Osia will be tried.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the defendant will be tried at the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable for defilement. He may spend some years in prison if found guilty and convicted for the alleged offence.
P.M. EXPRESS gathered that Osia may have chosen anal penetration of the 10-year old victim in order to satisfy his sexual desire which has now landed him in big trouble.
