Man Arrested For Having Sex With 15-Year Old Inside Market

A 25-year old man, one Kayode Oladipupo, has been arrested for engaging a 15-year old teenager in sex romp inside a market in Lagos.

The incident happened at the popular Oke-Odo Market in the outskirt of Lagos.

It was gathered that the suspect lured the victim, fondled her breasts, got her confused and engaged her in a romp by penetrating her from the back side.
However, while the romp was going on, some of the traders who saw what happened raised alarm. It attracted the attention of the market leaders who apprehended and handed him over to the police in the area.

The matter was later transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command after the victim revealed her age and was still a minor.
The suspect was found culpable and was charged before the Ogba Magistrates court for defilement.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Clifford Ogu, informed the court that the victim was still a minor and will like to seek the advice of DPP on the matter.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. T. Akanni, granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
However, he was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition while awaiting the outcome of DPP report.
It was gathered that the matter will be transferred to the High Court if the DPP report finds culpable and he may have to spend many years in prison if he was tried and found guilty by the court.
