Man Damages 13-Year Old Maid’s Womb After Abortion

Mojeed Akinfenwa who allegedly raped and forced a 13-year old girl to abort pregnancy

 

A 24-year old man, Mojeed Akinfenwa, who impregnated a 13-year old house maid and forced her to commit abortion which damaged her womb, has been arrested by the police in Lagos State, Nigeria.
He also confessed that he was tempted to terminate the pregnancy to conceal his relationship with the victim.
Akinfenwa was arrested and paraded by the police for the alleged offence of defilement, rape and induced abortion at the state Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos.
Oyo state-born Akinfenwa confirmed that he was secretly sleeping with the minor who was brought from her home state in Akwa Ibom state by her sister as maid.
He said nobody knew until she became pregnant and the issue of abortion came up.
The incident happened at Alakuko where both Akinfenwa and the victim’s sister reside.
He said when she became pregnant and informed him and refused to terminate the four- month pregnancy, he had to abort it himself.
According to the police, Akinfenwa took the victim to a place and forced her to drink a substance after which she started bleeding and the pregnancy was terminated.
When the bleeding persisted,  the maid was taken to a hospital where she revealed what happened to her.
And Akinfenwa was arrested and taken to the police where he confessed.
According to him, he met the victim who lives in the neighbourhood and she always sneaked into his apartment to have sex with him.
He said when she initially became pregnant, she did not tell him until after four months.
He said he procured some drugs for her to abort the pregnancy.
He said it was later that he knew she had complications and he was arrested by the police.

The Lagos Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni said Akinfenwa will be charged to court soon.
