A court in Lagos has ordered a 35-year old man to be remanded in prison for forcing his joystick into his 14-year old daughter’s private part in order to satisfy himself sexually.

The randy father, one Michael Igbanibo, was arrested after the daughter managed to escape and ran to the police station seeking for help over constant abuse by her biological father.

The alleged assault happened at 222 Olaniyi Street, Oko-Oba in the Agege area of Lagos where they reside.

It was gathered that the victim was sleeping on the bed when her father returned from work. He was said to have grabbed her and forced his joystick into her private part. She raised alarm, managed to escape to the police station and reported the matter.
Hence the police at Isokoko Division rescued her and arrested the father. The police detained him for interrogation and he admitted doing so.

The man was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates court for defilement. The prosecutor, Inspector Ayorinde, informed the court that the victim was a minor and the biological daughter of the defendant and hence the need for DPP advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, did not take his plea and denied him bail.
The court directed the prosecutor to send his file to DPP for advice.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the defendant may spend the rest of his life in prison if the DPP finds him culpable and he is found guilty for the alleged offence.
The matter has been adjourned till 26th November, 2018, for the report of DPP to be ready while the defendant was to remain in prison custody awaiting his fate.
