Man Docked For Stealing Pastor’s N3m

A 35-year old domestic staff, Mr. Adejare Oluremi has landed in trouble after he was arrested for allegedly stealing N3m belonging to Pastor Olaifa Adegboyega in Lagos.
The incident happened at Pastor Adegboyega’s office at Ilasamaja area where the money was kept in safe custody.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the suspect who knew that the money was in the Pastor’s office reportedly collected the money and escaped.
However, when the victim went where he kept the money and did not find it, he immediately looked for Oluremi but he had already escaped and went to hide the money.
Many who heard about the incident wondered why the pastor kept such amount of money in the office. It was learnt that the money might have been part of the church’s offering money or money he had realised from his pure water business.
The matter was reported to the police and Oluremi was trailed, arrested and detained at the Ilasamaja Police Division. He reportedly denied at the police station but the police found him culpable under reasonable suspicion that he stole the money.
He was charged before Isolo Magistrates court for stealing.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Rita Momah did not oppose his bail but urged the court to give Oluremi such bail condition that will enable him come to court to face trial.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Adedayo granted Oluremi bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned and Oluremi was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
