Man Engages 13-Year Old Girl In 30 Days Sex Romps

A man, Mr. Lawal Jimoh, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he confused his neighbour’s 13-year old girl and engaged her in sex romps for 30 days.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Awosanya Street in Ojokoro area of Ikorodu, Lagos, where they resided.

The suspect has been arrested for defiling the 13-year old.
The police alleged that Mr. Jimoh lured the victim into his apartment, confused her with words and engaged her in the sex romps for those days.
That continued as he took advantage of her parents’ absence from home to carry on with the act, having instilled fear in her and warned her not to tell anybody about what happened for that long period.

According to the victim, after the first encounter with Mr. Jimoh in July, 2018, he continued almost every other day till August 2018 for 30 Days before it got exposed. Her parents confronted her to know why there were sudden changes in her body and she revealed what had happened mentioning Mr. Jimoh’s name.

The matter was then reported to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, who referred the matter to the Gender Section of the Command. Thus, the suspect was arrested and detained at the Command for interrogation. At the Command, he admitted that he slept with the victim but did so with her consent and as such did not rape her as claimed by her parents.
However, the police found him culpable because the victim was a minor and charged Jimoh before Ogba Magistrates court for the alleged offence.
The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, informed the court that the victim was a minor and the case was a very serious offence hence the need for DPP advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, did not take his plea and also denied him bail.
The court ordered Mr. Jimoh to be remanded in prison custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 10th September, 2018 for the report of DPP to be available.
