Man Forges Documents, Sells Lawyer’s SUV

A Lagos based legal practitioner, Barrister Godwin Omoaka lost his Toyota Highlander SUV to suspected vehicle syndicate who forged his vehicle particulars and sold the SUV at give away price.

The incident happened at Yaba area of Lagos where both the suspects and the victim resided.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that one of the suspects, 27-year old Uchenna Kingsley has been arrested over his  involvement in the disappearance of the Toyota Highlander SUV. The police alleged that Kingsley and others at large conspired, forged the documents and sold it to a buyer for an undisclosed sum of money.

It was gathered that the suspects obtained the fake documents, stole the SUV with registration number, KTU 564 EZ worth about N7m, sold it at a give away price to a buyer and escaped.

The matter was reported to the police, Kingsley was later arrested and he made confessional statements.

The suspect was charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy and stealing.

He pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B. Osunsanmi granted Kingsley bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The suspect was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 24 May, 2018.
