A lady, (name withheld), who visited her Facebook lover, Chucks Emmanuel Ozoemena, in a popular hotel in Lagos and denied him sex was eventually raped by her supposed lover.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Meridean Hotel located at NNPC in Ejigbo area of Lagos, where Ozoemena invited the victim.

Ozoemena has landed in trouble over the act; he has been arrested by the Police.
This followed a report to the Police at Area F Command, Ikeja, Lagos. He was eventually tracked, arrested and detained at the Command for investigation.
Police sources uncovered that Ozoemena, who resides at No. 9 Saka Hassan Street, Obadore area of Igando, Lagos, used a fake name, Chigbo Eze, on Facebook to lure the victim to the hotel.
After entertaining her, he took her to a chalet for sex romp but the victim refused. He then threatened to kill her and cut her body in parts. The suspect eventually raped her before he allowed her to go.

During interrogation, Ozoemena admitted that he engaged her in sex romp and that was the purpose for her visit to him in the hotel. But the victim insisted that she was raped with threat.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Peter Nwaogwugwu, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice due to the nature of the offence alleged.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Y.O. Aje-Afunwa, granted Ozoemena bail in the sum of N1.5m with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions and outcome of the DPP’s advice. The matter was adjourned till 4th February, 2020.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial for rape which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
