A 24-year old man, Timothy Ideh, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he attempted to lure a 14-year old girl into sex by fondling her breasts and bum.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victim reportedly resisted and raised alarm, which attracted other neighbours including her parents; Ideh was apprehended and later handed over to the Police for the alleged sexual assault on the victim.
The incident happened at Nojeem Bakare Street, Salvation Estate, Ajah area of Lagos, where they reside.
It was gathered that the suspect, Ideh, lured the victim to an apartment, tried to woo her into a sex romp by kissing her lips, touching her breasts and her bum in order to get her confused.
However, the victim frustrated the efforts by raising alarm, which eventually landed him in trouble.
The alleged assault was reported to the Police at Area F Command in Ikeja and Ideh was arrested for interrogation, where he reportedly denied that he raped her.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable for molesting the victim and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence and he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Ezekiel Ayorinde, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since the defendant pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted him bail in the sum N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 8th October, 2019.
