Man Shot, Dispossessed Of Money Withdrawn From Bank

Dare-devil armed robbers operating in Alimosho Local Government area of Lagos, trailed, shot a man driving a white Toyota Venza car, robbed him of all the money he withdrew from the bank and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ade-Ade bus stop in Abaranje area of Ikotun, Lagos, while the man was on his way back home.
Residents who witnessed the robbery incident narrated to P.M.EXPRESS that the owner of the car, whose identity was yet to be disclosed by the police, went to Ikotun Market area where the bank was located, withdrew some amount and entered his car. Unknown to him, the three-man gang of robbers operating on motorcycles saw and trailed him.
When they got to the scene of the incident, they reportedly brought out their guns and shot the man while driving. He lost control of the car and it fell into the gutter. They were said to have gone there, collected the money with him and took off with their motorcycles.
It was gathered that while escaping, the robbers shot sporadically into the air and also fired at the tyres of a Toyota Hilux close to the scene in a bid to demobilize it.
The incident was reported to the Ikotun Police Division and the DPO, CSP Abubakar Tsav, immediately dispatched the police team to the scene and recovered the vehicle.
When P.M.EXPRESS correspondent visited the scene, some of the residents confirmed the attack and expressed their fears over the incident. At the police station, the DPO was said to have gone to the State Command for CP’s briefing.
However, police sources said that the police have since commenced investigation into the matter and that the suspects will soon be arrested with the measures the police have put in place to trail them.
