A young man, identified as Kalu Item, has been stabbed to death by his friend, identified simply as Yellow man, over his inability to share N400,000 being money allegedly realised from online scam in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Wazobia Bus Stop in Abaranje Ikotun, Lagos, where Item resided before the incident.
The police at Ikotun Division have declared Yellow man wanted in connection with the murder as he was said to have been on the run after the dastardly act.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the late Item was into online fraud and Yellow man was his business partner. They reportedly defrauded an undisclosed victim of the said amount of money and Item refused to bring out the money for both of them to share.

On the day the incident happened, Yellow man was said to have been in possession of a knife and waited for Item, as he popularly called, from 7am till evening when the deceased eventually returned home. The suspect was said to have demanded for his share of the money but Item refused to part with any. They then engaged themselves in a public fight before Yellow man brought out the dagger, stabbed him severally on parts of his body and escaped.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital where he eventually died.
The matter was reported to the police who retrieved the corpse and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.
When our correspondent visited Ikotun Police Division, some arrests were made in connection with the murder but the DPO was not around to comment on the matter.
However, police sources confirmed the incident and said that the police had done preliminary investigations and will be transferring the matter to SCIID Panti Yaba for further investigations.

Meanwhile, the prime suspect was still at large as police sources said efforts have been intensified to arrest him for prosecution. The corpse of the late Item was still at the mortuary pending the conclusion of investigations before he will be buried in his home town in Abia State.
