Man Tears Neighbours’ Scrotum With Broken Bottle

A 37-year old man, Christopher Chiagba has lost his manhood and lying critically ill on hospital bed after his neighbour, Michael Imo used a broken bottle to tear his scrotum during a fight over faeces container (potty) in Lagos, Nigeria.
The incident happened in their residence at 5, Alhaji Rafatu Street, Shasha area of Lagos where they reside.
According to police, Chiagba’s scrotum was badly damaged to the extent that it affected his testicles and penis and he cannot have erection.
Imo has since been arrested and charged before a Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo for causing grievous harm on Chiagba private part.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that trouble started after Chiagba went to their toilet to look for a container which his family uses to discharge their faeces before pouring it into pit toilet and couldn’t find it.
He then accused Imo of taken the container. This resulted into an exchange of words between the duo and then escalated to both engaging in physical fight and in the process, Imo carried a broken bottle and went straight to Chiagba private and stabbed him and tore his scrotum.
The victim was bleeding profusely and was rushed to a hospital where the doctors are currently battling to save his life. The matter was reported to the police at Shasha division who arrested Imo and charged him to court.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Kenneth Asibor objected to his bail and informed the court that the victim was critically  lying at the Hospital.
However, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum who must show evidence of tax payment.
Imo was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
The matter was adjourned till 7 November 2016.
