Man In Trouble Over Attempt To Strangle Sex Worker After Romp
CYRIACUS IZUEKWE

A 26-year old man, Mr. Chizoba Ayogu, has been arrested after he attempted to strangle a sex worker in a popular hotel in Lagos after sex romp.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Well Wood Hotel located in Ajangbadi, Lagos, where the victim, Faith Noi operated as a sex worker.
The suspect was arrested and paraded for attempted murder by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal at the Police Command, Lagos.
What would have transpired between the suspect and the victim to warrant the attempt was yet clear.
However, the police boss stated that the police at Ilembe Hausa Division received a distress call from the hotel and the officers on duty went to the hotel where they met the victim with severe injuries on her neck.
The victim stated that the suspect who resided at No. 7 Abdullahi Street in Kirikiri town in Apapa, Lagos came to the hotel and slept with her. She said that after the romp, he brought a rope, tied it around her neck and pulled her down.
She also said that the victim tried to suffocate her by blocking her mouth and nostrils with a pillow before she raised alarm.
She said it was the alarm she raised that drew the attention of the hotel staff who rushed into her room and rescued her.
The suspect was then arrested and detained at the station before he was brought to the command for further interrogations. CP Edgal said that the suspect was yet to tell the police his motive for attempting to murder her in her room.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect might have acted in such a manner probably because the victim did not satisfy him sexually, as most sex workers in the area were known to behave in harsh manners to their clients.
The police boss said that the suspect will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
