Married Man, 42, Defiles Neighbour’s 11-Year Old Daughter

A 42-year old married man, Mr. Isaac Yakubu, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he lured his neighbour’s 11-year old daughter into a sex romp.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Mustapha Adeleke Street in Abule Ado area of Lagos where they resided.

The residents who heard about what happened wondered what would have been the attraction for Mr. Yakubu to have engaged the victim in the romp despite the fact that he had a wife.
The police alleged that the suspect lured the victim into his apartment when his wife and members of the family were not around, forcefully removed her pant and raped her.
It was gathered that the victim put up resistance but Mr. Yakubu overpowered, threatened to kill her if she resisted further and had his way.

However, when the girl’s parents returned from work she informed them about what happened and the matter was reported to the police in the area. The police arrested Yakubu and transferred the matter to the Gender Section of the State Command, Lagos.
The police found the suspect culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court before the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka.
The prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, told the court that it was a case of forceful penetration of the 11-year old victim who was a minor and that she got injured in her private part.
The court denied granting Yakubu bail and did not take his plea because of the nature of the offence. The court ordered him to be remanded in prison custody and equally ordered the prosecutor, Mr.John, to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 3rd September, 2018 for the report of the DPP advice to be available.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Mr. Yakubu may spend good number of years in prison if the DPP found him culpable and he gets convicted for the alleged offence.
