Married Men Prefer Teenagers For Sex- Sex Workers

Three teenage sex workers arrested by the police have confessed that their patrons were mainly married men who preferred to have sex with underaged girls to satisfy their desire in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victims were rescued at a popular hotel known as Collabor located at Ige Street at Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos.

The suspects were Glory Asuquo, 15, Destiny Bassey, 18 and Bright Essien, 18.

They revealed that they do engage on at least 20 rounds of sex each day and collected N500 for each round which amounted to N10,000 daily.

However, Asuquo said that the money will have to be shared between the owner of the hotel, the agents that brought them to Lagos and they will keep the remaining to maintain their body for the business.

The two men who facilitated and brought the victims from Akwa Ibom State to Lagos State, Thomas Emmanuel and Okon John were also arrested and paraded by the police at the State Command, Ikeja Lagos.

One of the victims, Asuquo said that the two men came to their village and brought them to Lagos where they were handed them over to one Monica Ita who took them to the hotel as sex workers and do collect a certain amount of money as commission from them daily.

Both the victims and the suspects were apprehended, paraded and they confessed their involvement in the human trafficking business.

While parading them, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal said that the command gathered intelligence report that some persons were running prostitution ring with underaged girls in the hotel.

He said based on the report, some police officers from Federal SARS, Ikeja Command stormed the location and arrested Asuquo who confessed that she was brought to the hotel some weeks ago and handed over to Ita. The police boss said the information led to the rescue of three other victims.

Edgal said that the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.

Meanwhile, police sources said that the hotel has been temporarily shut down over the incident and it was not yet known if it will be reopened for business again.
